While the decline was slight, this week 6 out of 10 home teams, or 60% of matches, filled the stadiums less than the season average of 95.15%: Sunderland (77.9%), Fulham (86.7%), West Brom (89.5%), Crystal Palace (90.3%), Stoke City (90.7%), and Swansea City (93.0%). This is the first time this season that Sunderland have failed to fill the Stadium of Light above 80%, however, they have struggled in this area overall, failing 4 times to fill the stadium above 85%. Perhaps Sunderland’s recent run of form will bode well for their next series of home matches.
