MLS Rivalry Week Sells Out the Most Stadiums Since Opening Week

MLS week 5 average attendance was 17,578. The regular season average decreased 1.6% to 18,726 from 19,030 last week. Stadiums were 84.5% filled throughout the week, remaining at 85% of capacity for the season.

Four matches were sold out this week – Portland Timbers versus Seattle Sounders at Providence Park, Vancouver Whitecaps versus Colorado Rapids at BC Place, Houston Dynamo versus FC Dallas at BBVA Compass Stadium, and Sporting Kansas City versus Real Salt Lake at Sporting Park.
