Brasilia Sells out Three World Cup Matches, Most Among Host Cities

The average attendance for each team’s final game in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup was 51,572, a decrease from the 52,070 average after the second set of group play matches.  For a more significant evaluation of attendance, stadiums were filled to 98.58% capacity on average for final games of group play.

There were two sell outs reported in the final round of games.  Netherlands versus Chile at Arena de Sao Paulo (62,996 attended) and Cameroon versus Brazil at Estadio Nacional in Brasilia (69,112 attended).
