MLS Average Attendance Dips 1.5% to 18,428 in Week 9

MLS week 9 average attendance is 18,428. The regular season average has decreased 1.5% to 20,725 from 21,040 last week. Stadiums were 84.74% filled throughout the week, remaining at 92.34% of capacity for the season.

Two matches were sold out this week – Portland Timbers versus Vancouver Whitecaps at Providence Park and Sporting Kansas City versus Chicago Fire at Sporting Park.
