- Nashville Mayor Megan Barry joined John R. Ingram to announce a $250-million, 27,500-seat stadium on the Nashville Fairgrounds, contingent on Metro Council authorization and the city’s MLS expansion bid.
- Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said the club decided to play Sunday’s game against Las Palmas behind closed doors to show opposition to police violence against voters in Catalonia’s independence referendum and not over safety concerns.
