2018 MLS Season Opens with 23,731 Average Attendance and 5 Sell-Outs

MLS week 1 average attendance is 23,731 compared to 22,936 in 2017 opening week. Stadiums were 99.01% filled throughout the week.

Four matches were sold out this week—Orlando City SC versus D.C. United at Orlando City Stadium, San Jose Earthquakes versus Minnesota United FC at Avaya Stadium, Seattle Sounders FC at LAFC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC versus Montreal Impact at BC Place, and Sporting Kansas City versus New York City FC at Children’s Mercy Park.
